You Can’t Spell SCHOOL Without FUN

OK, you CAN spell SCHOOL without “fun” but who would want to?  One of the many sessions that podcast guest Dr. Katie McKnight leads is using improv in the classroom.  This passionate, high-energy educator makes the case that this kinesthetic approach is a great way to teach not just reading and writing, but also problem-solving.  These exercises are also perfect for brain breaks and to build a sense of community. In Katie’s words: “It crazy works.” Listen as she walks us through a couple…one called “Space Walk” might be just PERFECT for a faculty meeting!
