Online teaching and learning aren’t the only options when schools are closed and children are learning at home. While there are numerous resources for teaching and learning at home, there is far less emphasis on ways to show evidence of learning.

This 3 part series begins by introducing the fundamental purposes and processes for assessing along with feasible ways for families to assess at home.  Each section describes alternatives to traditional testing and multiple ways that children can take ownership and display mastery of their learning outcomes. The result is a flexible and personalized guide to knowing what students know.
