Item description

What traits do successful entrepreneurs have in common?  This self-paced lesson includes two pieces:  a power point & a response guide.  The power point includes links to articles, podcasts, and videos that tell the story of three entrepreneurs.  Learners will seek out common traits in these highly successful individuals.  In addition, there is an additional entrepreneur with a different perspective:  he contends that his ADHD serves as his secret weapon to success.

This lesson merges economics, business, reading skills, and SEL.  The traits of these individuals include viewing failure as valuable learning, determination, and passion in one’s work. It is designed for secondary students, probably 8th grade up.  There are varying levels of reading, from Forbes to Wiki…videos & one podcast for differentiated learning. One of the entrepreneurs I selected has dyslexia….another ADHD.

How this works:  Slides are numbered to match the response guide.  While both are editable, understand that if you change the order of the power point, the guide will then be off.

This is a new lesson, so I would love some feedback.  Time:  perhaps 3 hours.
