Beth has been working in the field of language education for more than 25 years and currently supports schools around the globe in their quest to provide equitable education for English Language Learners. She provides differentiated consulting services designed to meet the unique needs of each school or organization. Her workshops and consulting focused on the needs of English Language Learners (ELLs) often address topics such as building academic language, integrating cooperative learning, developing differentiation strategies for ELLs, and understanding second language acquisition.
Beth’s training since graduate school includes Harvard Project Zero; the International Baccalaureate English B course; instructional coaching; the WIDA standards, Marzano’s Strategies that Work for English Language Learners, Kagan Cooperative Learning, and implementing the Common Core for English Language Learners.
She published materials for teaching adult English Language Learners with the Total Physical Response Storytelling method entitled Putting it Together. Her books have been translated into Spanish, Dutch, Dutch Sign Language, and French and can be found on her website.
