Item description
If you are taking words off your wall at the end of the unit or school year, think about trying some of these strategies for working with those words ‘off the wall’. While word walls are one popular way of supporting vocabulary development, students need many meaningful interactions with those words in order to truly acquire them. Try these strategies to support students with academic vocabulary development. Students will need a set of vocabulary for the unit in order to participate in these activities–preferably a set of vocabulary cards they made themselves with supporting visuals and notes.
