The goal of this activity is to help children visualize why the Moon, which is much smaller than the Sun, appears to be the same size as the Sun when viewed from Earth. In this activity, children use math, creativity, and movement to determine the relative sizes of the Sun and the Moon and their relative distances from Earth.
