This peer-reviewed research paper documents the implementation and impact of an Engineering Design project used in a Secondary Physics classroom in Singapore. The project focused on the construction of a mousetrap car to enhance mastery of concepts related to work and energy. Issues related to implementation, qualitative assessment of learning, and a comparison to experiences in US classrooms are also covered.
