Steven Krasner has been visiting classrooms around the country for more than 30 years conducting interactive and collaborative writing workshops as well as Professional Development sessions as "Nudging the Imagination" (http://nudgingtheimagination.com). He also is the published author of several children's books, one of which ("Play Ball Like the Pros") won a Parents' Choice Silver Award, and a retired sports writer. Steve covered the Boston Red Sox on a daily basis for the final 22 years of his 33-year career at the Providence Journal before retiring from the newspaper in 2008. He then covered the Red Sox and the New England Patriots on a freelance basis for ESPN's website in Boston for several years. In addition, Steve is the Executive Director of Rhode Island Write on Sports, a nonprofit organization that conducts summer sports writing camps for at-risk middle school students; a former member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame's Education Advisory Committee; a Hall of Fame voter, and an AAU baseball coach.
