Pixar’s Storytelling Rule #4 is a strategy used at Pixar Studios to develop their stories. It can help a young writer develop a more complex idea that follows the 3-act structure to storytelling. I’ve personally used it to help me write at least a dozen novels.
This strategy is present to the classroom teacher with examples on how to use it with their students to analyze existing books or movies as practice. Two movies are broken down and put in the Rule #4 format as an example to do with your students: Finding Nemo and Star Wars.
Videos and resources for the classroom teacher to use with their students are presented.
