Student-driven learning experiences require different planning and teaching models. This poster merges research and practice as educators make decisions about how to best facilitate experiences that move all students to proficiency and beyond on learning targets. Students are at the center of learning in each of these four models.
These are the instructional frameworks Suzy uses in professional development and for learning walks. Everyone is on the same page in this process-different approach. Each component methodically sets students up for success. In addition, time is allocated appropriately, so that learners do more of the valuable work. In each of the four models, visible evidence of learning builds. These models encourage teachers to unleash their creativity to lift student learning, and for learners to be the most active thinkers in the classroom.
