Item description
This poster uses Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy to categorize question stems based on their cognitive complexity. You can replace the verbs of an learning expectation with the question stem and rephrase the statement of objective into a good question.
The base level of Bloom’s Taxonomy is Recognize, not Remember, to encourage more active thinking and learning.
The category Synthesize is placed between Evaluate and Create. Synthesize is when learning becomes more affective than cognitive, asking students to reflect and respond to what they are learning with emotions and thoughts. Create is how students express and share their learning in their own unique way.
