Carolyn DeCristofano, M.Ed., brings a passionate, accessible, and often interdisciplinary energy to her work as a STEM education consultant and children’s science author. As President of Blue Heron STEM Education, she develops and offers dynamic STEM professional development, and works with schools and other educational organizations to create exciting classroom curricula and other learning materials, from at-home activities to full-scale, nationally traveling exhibits.
Through her creative, often playful books for kids, she helps young readers relate to their world—and beyond. Her books include Charlesbridge’s acclaimed A Black Hole is NOT a Hole and Big Bang! The Tongue-Tickling Tale of a Speck that Became Spectacular; National Geographic Kids Ultimate Space Atlas; and HarperCollins Children’s The Sun and the Moon and Running on Sunshine: How Does Solar Energy Work?
